Checks On Medical Negligence in Pakistan

I was talking to a dear friend Dr. Bala Raju who runs 24/7 clinics in London and Leicester about the state of affairs of medical services in Pakistan. He rightly suggested that until and unless there is proper formation of law (i.e. through Legislation), Implementation of that law through courts, and establishment of a complaint handling and monitoring organization there is little chance that we will see an end to the unprofessional-ism and unethical  practices in the medical profession in the developing world.

I agree with him on all the points and would like to add that, though I am not a great fan of the spy network system (i.e. everyone spying on each other like in Saudi Arabia) and the litigation culture in the U.K., unfortunately the health sector in Pakistan needs all the checks and monitoring possible.
